The Winthrop School Museum is located this two-story brick schoolhouse building in Winthrop (Little River County). With the closure of the school in 1992, local community leaders formed a preservation group to convert the 1913 building into a museum. In the twenty-first century, the Winthrop School Museum consists of a room chronicling area history and another room honoring veterans. The school building is shown here in 1912, while under construction.
