William Claude Bradford, a member of the 142nd Field Artillery, was assistant adjutant general of the Arkansas National Guard when it was mobilized for service in World War I. Bradford, a native of Lonoke (Lonoke County), also commanded Camp Guthrie, a demobilization camp in France.
