William Claude Bradford (front, leaning on truck), shown with other members of the 142nd Field Artillery during training in France, was assistant adjutant general of the Arkansas National Guard when it was mobilized for service in World War I. Bradford, a native of Lonoke County, also commanded Camp Guthrie, a demobilization camp in France.
