Arthur Harding

Arthur McCracken Harding, the first Arkansas-born president of the University of Arkansas (UA) in Fayetteville (Washington County). Born in Pine Bluff (Jefferson County) on September 3, 1884, he held the post for six years, beginning in 1941.
