The Governor Mike Huckabee Delta Rivers Nature Center in Pine Bluff (Jefferson County), originally known as the Delta Rivers Nature Center, was opened to the public as Arkansas’s first nature center. The center displays fish and other aquatic species native to the region in a natural setting to teach visitors about the dynamic ecosystem relating to river-bottom environments. Many trails for hiking and wildlife observation are constructed of asphalt and have elevated boardwalks with little to no slope to accommodate visitors with disabilities. Other walks are constructed for the more able and adventurous.
