A deadly tornado struck Warren (Bradley County), killing fifty-five people and injuring more than 250. One thousand employees were displaced, and funerals were so numerous that choirs took turns singing as caskets were rolled down the aisles. On March 28, 1975 (Good Friday), seven people died and sixty-two were injured in Warren when another tornado took the same path as the one in 1949.
