Swiss-German Catholic priest and missionary Father Eugene John Weibel made a brief return to Arkansas for the fifty-year jubilee of his ordination. The jubilee was, appropriately, celebrated in Pocahontas (Randolph County), his first Arkansas assignment. By September 23, 1926, he was en route to Europe, never to return to America.
