The Ozark Mountain Folk Fair was held north of Eureka Springs (Carroll County). The festival drew an audience from around the United States, with an estimated attendance of up to 30,000, and featured a diverse mix of rock, blues, bluegrass, gospel, country, and folk music performances. The festival featured music from Earl Scruggs, John Lee Hooker, Big Mama Thornton, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Leo Kottke, Mason Proffit, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Stone County native Jimmy Driftwood, among many others.
