Pianist, singer, and songwriter Jason Donald Williams was born in El Dorado (Union County). After learning to play by ear at the age of two, Williams took lessons until the age of sixteen, when he left El Dorado to play rockabilly music with musician Sleepy LaBeef in northeastern Massachusetts. He began his solo career in the 1980s under RCA Records and went on to have his music appear in films such as Great Balls of Fire! and The War Room.
