In the early twentieth century, Dr. Henry Thibault of Scott (Pulaski County) was a member of the faculty of what is today known as the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. In 1906, he conducted a detailed study on the mosquito and was considered to be the leading authority on malarial fevers.
