Fay Templeton, an actress, singer, and comedian from Little Rock (Pulaski County), excelled on the legitimate stage and in vaudeville from the late 1800s to the 1930s. Temporarily retiring in 1925, she returned to the stage and continued to perform until the mid-1930s. She died in 1939 and is buried in New York, where few attended the funeral of the once-famous entertainer.
