In 1900, Betty Blake met entertainer Will Rogers at her sisters home in Oolagah in Indian Territory (now Oklahoma). In 1908, the couple was married in a ceremony at her familys home in Rogers (Benton County). During their marriage, Betty Rogers served as her husbands financial advisor. After his death in a plane crash in 1935, she concentrated on furthering his reputation, writing Will Rogers: His Wifes Story in 1941. She is shown here with her husband and children in about 1921.
