The Randolph County Heritage Museum, located on the town square in Pocahontas, opened in 2006 during the town’s sesquicentennial celebration. The museum consists mainly of three exhibit rooms: the river room, the medical room, and one dedicated to the archeology of Old Davidsonville. Other exhibits chronicle the history of Pocahontas, the history of other county towns, and the role the area played in U.S. military history.
