Little Rock Nurses

Unidentified nurses at Great Southern Fraternal Hospital in Little Rock (Pulaski County); circa 1920. Fred Thomas Jones established the hospital in 1919, which was located in the predominately black area of Little Rock, near the intersection of 9th and State streets. It provided medical care for members of two black fraternal organizations: the United Friends of America and the Independent Order of Immaculates.
