Original Kellam Tombstone

Original tombstone of Charles Rice Kellam. Due to damage, the gravestone was replaced at Kellam’s burial site, with the original donated to the Belle Museum in Charleston (Franklin County) in 1998. The epitaph is from Revelation 14:13 of the New Testament: “And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”
