Barkshed Bridge

Barkshed Bridge over the North Sylamore Creek in Stone County; circa 1980s. Although the bridge is safe for foot traffic today, the structure is not safe for vehicle weight. Barkshed is a part of the Ozark National Forest. Camp Hedges, a Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp, was located in this area, and most of the work done at Barkshed was performed by the CCC.
