Archivist Shannon Lausch Researching "The Possum"

Shannon Lausch, an archivist at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, researching the life and work of her ancestor Gammon Lausch; 2014. Gammon Lausch’s 1837 poem “The Possum” was apparently a great influence upon famous poet and author Edgar Allan Poe, who seems to have copied the meter and themes of the poem in his own “The Raven.” April Fools!
