Fay Jones died at his home in Fayetteville (Washington County). Jones was an internationally known architect from Arkansas who won the American Institute of Architects’ highest honor, the AIA Gold Medal, in 1990. The most acclaimed of Jones’s buildings is Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs (Carroll County).
