Attorney and Arkansas General Assembly member Tom Walter Campbell died in Little Rock. Campbell got his start in politics as the Randolph County examiner in 1896. He also represented the county in the state legislature, while still studying law, in 1901 and 1903. Admitted to the bar in 1904, Campbell quickly grew in prominence as a railroad attorney, and in 1917, was appointed as the first assistant attorney general of the state.
