The Marion County Courthouse, a significant example of Queen Anne architecture with Art Deco influences located in downtown Yellville (Marion County), was added to the National Register of Historic Places. The courthouse was completed in 1944. The new building was erected with a budget of $35,000 and boasted exterior walls made of random square-cut stones, giving it a look reminiscent of a medieval castle.
