Former defensive end for the University of Arkansas Razorback football team Jimmy Johnson was born in Port Arthur, Texas. Johnson was an All-Southwest Conference player who belonged to the 1964 team recognized by the Football Writers Association as the national champion. After graduating, Johnson embarked on a coaching career that led him to lead such teams as Oklahoma State University, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Miami Dolphins.
