Rhena Meyer, better known as the “Goat Woman” of Smackover (Union County), died. When younger, she had performed with the Barnum and Bailey Circus as a one-girl band. She settled in Arkansas after marrying, but after her husband’s death in 1963, she began performing more often for local audiences, sometimes with the many goats she kept, earning her the moniker of the “Goat Woman.”
