The Forrest L. Wood Crowleys Ridge Nature Center, one of four nature centers built throughout the state by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, is located near Jonesboro (Craighead County). Money for the 17,033-square-foot, three-story education, exhibit and meeting facility, which opened on August 25, 2004, was provided by Amendment 75, passed in 1996. The center is located on 160 acres, which comprise a small prairie, a pond, and approximately 100 acres of woodland landscape.
