Happy Hollow (a.k.a. McLeod’s Amusement Park) was a popular tourist attraction in Hot Springs (Garland County) from the 1880s through the 1940s. It was best known for its humorous photographs, such as this one from circa 1900. Visitors could pose in an old bathtub, on the back of a burro, or having a drink at the bar. The photo shown here is referring to how slow trains were when traveling through the state.
