One of the oldest Baptist congregations in Benton County is located in the mid-1800s settlement of Twelve Corners, near the present-day town of Pea Ridge (Benton County). Established around 1850, the original church building was constructed following the Tennessee design, with twelve corners formed by a shallow entrance annex facing south and a similar extension on the opposite end of the main room. The congregation, which has occupied several structures, such as the one shown here, still holds services in the twenty-first century.
