Volumnia LaBass

Volumnia Anne Frost LaBass, wife of John William LaBass, postmaster of Hazel Grove (Independence County). In 1832, John William LaBass served with Captain Jesse Bean at Fort Gibson in Indian Territory (present-day Oklahoma) and he then served in the Union army under Colonel Elisha Baxter of Batesville (Independence County).
