Orphan Train
The “giving-away” of the New York Orphans at Charleston (Franklin County). In front of the white background on the side of the building is the stage. A Victrola can be seen on the stage. It was used to play records for the children to dance. The pencil line down the picture points to the man who gave the children away. Directly in front of him can be seen the small boy between the two flags who is being given away.
