Halpatter-Micco

Seminole Indian chief Halpatter-Micco (a.k.a. Billy Bowlegs); 1852. As superintendent of Indian Affairs, Elias Rector oversaw the removal of Halpatter-Micco, known as the “King of the Everglades,” to Indian Territory.
