Wheel Store
The Wheel Store in Batesville (Independence County) is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building was erected in 1887 to house a store and meeting space for a local chapter of the Agricultural Wheel. “W. P.” Huddleston Jr. of Gainsboro (Independence County) became an active spokesman in the Agricultural Wheel in the county and, in 1888, was part of the successful Wheel ticket for the state legislature with John C.
