Black and Tan Republicans

Artistic portrayal of the dramatic departure of the Black and Tan Republican delegates from the 1920 state party convention at the Kempner Theater in Little Rock (Pulaski County) in protest of the domineering Lily White majority’s constant invalidation of their participation. The oval portraits along the top portray both factions’ leaders. Painted by artist Danny Broadway in 2019.
