Belle Starr

Notorious outlaw Belle Starr, the “Bandit Queen,” who as a resident of Indian Territory (now Oklahoma), numbered among her friends the likes of Cole Younger and the James brothers. She was sentenced to a year in prison by Judge Isaac C. Parker at Fort Smith (Sebastian County) for stealing horses.
