"Doll for Negro Children"

Advertisement for the Ideal Toy Company’s Saralee Doll, designed by Florida resident Sara Lee Creech partly in response to Mamie Katherine Phipps Clark’s research involving African-American children’s preference for white dolls over black dolls. The dolls were manufactured in the early 1950s.
