The Plantation Agriculture Museum, housed in this former general store built in 1912, in Scott (Pulaski and Lonoke counties) is located about twenty miles southeast of Little Rock (Pulaski County). Founded by Robert L. Dortch, it was purchased by the state in the 1960s, and then reopened in 1989 under the Museum Division of the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism. More than 10,000 artifacts are preserved in the museum’s collection.
