Bernie Babcock donated her Natural History Museum to the City of Little Rock (Pulaski County) as a Christmas gift. The museum, the oldest in Little Rock, later became the Museum of Discovery. Babcock was a founding member of the Arkansas Historical Society and was the first president of the Arkansas branch of the National League of Pen Women. She also published more than forty novels, as well as numerous tracts and newspaper and magazine articles.
